Indication: Abiraterone acetate in combination with the prednisone is recommended for treating patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer who have taken prior chemotherapy containing the docetaxel.
Recommended Dosage: The recommended dose of abiraterone acetate is 1,000 mg should be administered orally once daily in combination with prednisone 5 mg administered orally twice daily. The drug should be consumed only on an empty stomach. Meals shouldn’t be eaten for at least a couple of hours in prior to pomalidomide dose and for at least an hour after the dose of zytiga is taken. The tablets must be gulped whole with the water.
Before you take Abiraterone, tell your healthcare provider if you: have heart problems, have liver problems, have a history of adrenal and or pituitary problems, have any other medical conditions.
plan to become pregnant, are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed, It is not known if this drug passes into your breast milk. You and your doctor should determine if you will consume abiraterone or breastfeed. You should not do both.
Contraindication: Abiraterone may cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman. This drug is contraindicated in females who are or may become pregnant. If this drug is used while on pregnancy, or if the patient becomes pregnant while consuming this drug, the patient should be apprised of the probable hazards to the fetus.

Overdose: There have been no reports of overdose of abiraterone during clinical studies. There is no specific antidote. In an event of drug overdose, interrupt abiraterone acetate, undertake general supportive scales, including the monitoring of cardiac failure, arrhythmias and assess liver function.
Storage and Handling: Store at 20 °C-25°C (68°F to 77°F); excursions permitted to 15°C to 30°C (59°F-86°F). Based on its mechanism of action, this drug may harm a developing fetus. Therefore, females who are pregnant or having an intention to become pregnant should not tackle abiraterone without protection, such as gloves.
